Ramirez became on the third player in the history of Japanese professional baseball to record 200 hits in a single season.
In last night's 3 - 1 victory over the Yokohama Baystars, Ramirez reached base safely in his third at-bat. It was the 139th game of the year for him.
The two other players to reach the 200-hit milestone are Ichiro Suzuki (who now plays for the Seattle Mariners) and Ramirez's teammate on the Tokyo Swallows, Norichika Aoki.
Meanwhile, Ramirez just needs one more home run to reach 30 on the season.
